Dear Colleague,
Welcome to the 12th International Pharmaceutical Technology Symposium (IPTS 2004), to be held in İstanbul 12-15 September, 2004 under the joint sponsorship of AİFD, APGI, EUFEPS, FIP-BPS, HETEK,H.U., IEIS, the Nagai Foundation, TÜBİTAK and TÜFTAD. İstanbul, a city where the two continents meet, is chosen as the site of our Symposium because of its history, culture, tradition and natural beauty. It is also a city where the heart of the Turkish Pharmaceutical Industry is located.

During this Symposium we decided to discuss the “Problems and Problem Solving Strategies in Pharmaceutical Formulation and Drug Delivery”. Along with the scientific part of the programme, there will also be an exhibition of pharmaceutical companies and laboratory equipments.

We hope that this Symposium will bring together the scientists from throughout the world to discuss current and future developments on drug delivery systems. On behalf of my colleagues on the Organizing Committee, I look forward to welcoming you in İstanbul.
