Course Overview
Patenting and Intellectual Property Rights has been the most intensive topics in pharmaceutical industry. Creating the perspective of patent in mind must be carefully constructed. The main focus of this short course is to provide an overview of the basic principles for patenting within the pharmaceutical industry.
Patenting will provide the return of the investment of research and development costs invested by pharmaceutical industry, but this will be available with the right choice of patenting strategies. Therefore, knowledge in patenting strategies becomes an important tool at management level ensuring the return of investment.
This pre-symposium short course will also provide the participants in most important regulatory views about Intellectual Property Rights such as laboratory notebooks, extension of patent term and experimental use etc.
