Welcome to İstanbul A city where the two continents meet
Dear Colleague, Welcome to the 11th International Pharmaceutical Technology Symposium (IPTS-2002), to be held in Istanbul 9-11 September, 2002 under the joint sponsorship of APGI, EUFEPS, HETEK, IEIS, the Nagai Foundation, TÜBİTAK and, TÜFTAD. İstanbul, a city where the two continents meet, is chosen as the site of our Symposium because of its history, culture, tradition and natural beauty. It is also a city where the heart of the Turkish Pharmaceutical Industry is located. During this Symposium IPTS-2002 Intenational Scientific Committee decided to discuss the "Intelligent systems in drug delivery for better and safer therapy". Along with the scientific part of the programme, there will also be an exhibition of pharmaceutical companies and laboratory equipments. We hope that this Symposium will bring together scientists from throughout the world to discuss the latest development and delivery challenges of the next generation of drugs. On behalf of my colleagues on the Organising Committee, I look forward to welcoming you in Istanbul.
