Welcome to the 10th International Pharmaceutical Technology Symposium (IPTS-2000), to be held in İstanbul 11-13 September, 2000 under the joint sponsorship of APGI, EUFEPS, the FIP Foundation, İEİS, The Nagai Foundation and TÜBİTAK. İstanbul, a city where the two continents meet, is chosen as the site of our Symposium because of its history, culture, tradition and natural beauty. It is also a city where the heart of the Turkish Pharmaceutical Industry is located.

During this symposium we decided to discuss the delivery challenges of the next generation of medicines with emphasis on the industrial and regulatory responses. Along with the scientific part of the programme, there will also be an exhibition of pharmaceutical companies and laboratory equipments. We hope that this Symposium will bring together scientists from throughout the world to discuss the development and delivery challenges of the next generation of drugs.
